Dr. Diaz: Your Compassionate Psychiatrist in Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine, FL

As a caring pediatric psychiatrist in Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine, FL, I aim to help children and adolescents overcome their mental health challenges. After my experience in Uganda, my dedication to child and adolescent psychiatry continued to grow as I did my pediatric rotation at Miami Children’s Hospital during my psychiatry residency in 2017. At that time, I presented research about “PANDAS,” which is short for Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections, at the American Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting. I completed my fellowship training certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the University of Virginia (UVA).

With the outstanding training at UVA, along with multiple interviews and presentations, I seek to identify the best-individualized treatment for my patients.

In Jacksonville & Ponte Vedra, FL, I worked at Baptist Behavioral Health at Wolfson Children’s Hospital, where I treated patients in outpatient and inpatient psychiatric level of care. There, I treated a wide range of mental health illnesses.

Jorge A. Diaz, MD is a member of leading psychiatric organizations such as the American Psychiatric Association (APA), Florida Psychiatric Society (FPS) and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).
