My name is Jorge A. Diaz, MD. I am a licensed General Psychiatrist specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. As a pediatric psychiatrist in St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra FL my philosophy of care is to improve mental illness with the best professional approach either with Child Therapy or Medication Management if indicated. I have been passionate about offering mental health services for adolesents and children since returning from a medical humanitarian mission in Uganda in 2008, where I helped children with severe trauma, both physical and mental. From this experience, I gained a deeper understanding of human suffering which allows me to treat my patients and families with humility and help them cope with and overcome their challenges.
